Hello everybody!
Just need your advice regarding air test for soldered copper. What is the optimal pressure needs to be pumped into system to check for leaks? I had leak in my house from soldered fitting, i have not soldered that fitting i assumed it has been badly soldered many years ago. But the question is: If i will pump air into system and it will hold pressure for 24 hours or more, will that mean it will never leak? or it will be better to test with the water? How the other fitting had a leak? Please advice guys. Thank you.

Use water, not air, for testing. You can rent the test-set required

Can you please recommend the equipment to hire? Thank you

The other question i have is alot of people saying that pipes needs to be flushed with water to remove all flux residue inside the pipes to stop them being eaten by flux and leak over the time. Is that correct or its just what people talk about?
