We have a problem of the pressure building up on our boiler. I need to release the pressure twice a day (via a radiator) . My first port of call was to check the filling loop, which has been left on the boiler. I removed one end of the filling loop, undoing it from the cold water feed side. There was then a steady drip of warm water from the filling loop hose coming through. I put the loose end of the filling hose in a bowl to drip and gradually the pressure in the boiler drops. I turned off the supply of cold water to the boiler, with the filling loop in place both ends and the pressure remained constant. I wonder if anyone could help with a possible diagnosis of the problem ? Thanks for any help

Sounds like there could be a leak on the hot water heat exchanger between the mains water and the heating.

I had a horrible feeling that may be the conclusion. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Your filling loops is letting by, by the sounds of it.

And that`s as far as your allowed to go with it unless your a trained gas safe engineer.
Please read forum rules on gas boilers and advice NOT being given.

It`s for your safety mate.
