My Central Heating system has a Plumbright Magnetic Filter 22mm installed. The filter body has a drain valve on the bottom with a seal cap. This 360 degree drain valve can be rotated to allow operational access.
Q1 - How does the upper 360 degree part of the drain valve seal and still allow rotation?
Q2 - How does the drain valve end seal against the filter body?
Q3 - How to seal the filter body to the 360 drain vslve?
Looking inside the filter body there is a hexagonal Allen wrench acces; which is larger than 1/2", with no visible seal below it. This also has approximately 1mm of vertical movement of the 360 drain valve, is this normal? As this is the leak point.
Q4 - Is it necessary to replace the large body O-ring every time it is opened or can it be reused?
Looking forward to some good technical support and practical advice.
