Hi, ive been working with a gas safe engineer for about 2 years now and we both agreed a few months back that i would do the relavent courses and exams as hes 65 now and although doesnt want to stop working he doesnt want the hassles of the exams himself. I know you have to build a portfolio but can any one clarify exactly what i need, i have around 100 pictures most with me in but not all and havent even started writing up yet (bit lazy there) but as i say have no real ideas on number of pics/pages needed. Any help is much appreciated thanks simon

Wherever you decide to do the ACS exams will be able to tell you what evidence they require before they accept you to take the exams. They will categorise you depending on whether you have a level 3 NVQ and/or your number of years experience in the field & this will determine the extent of experience required to be demonstrated in your portfolio. So your best way forward is first decide where you want to take the exams and ask them....hope this helps!

Yea thnx not gonna do it till early next year, was tryin to get a head start 😉

they like you to write on their own (college/assesment centre) paper. so dont be writing down too much !!
