Has anyone else been charged every year for the cells to be changed by anton, each time my bill is around 160. You don't get told this when you purchase the analyser , Even if you use it 100 times or just ten. The cells must obviously have a problem other companies don't change the cells every 12 months. Bit of a bloody rip off as per usual

Printers are gash, thermocouple in probe stops working. Gas sniffer kills battery in 5 seconds.......... I'm getting a canary.

Would any one buy a tpi? I couldn't bare to look at it? Open the bag and it makes me think of bbc computer.

I like my Anton. Great bit of kit. Had an Anton before that. Although my new one did have to go back 2 months after, bit of a worry.

Maybe a sensor change is the correct thing to do? Keeps them spot on perhaps

Hiya fella's, I'm new here so go easy eh! I'm thinking, (or i was until I read some of the comments here), of buying a gas analyser. Yep, I was thinking along the lines of the Anton V2 Sprint. I've been checking the 2nd hand prices as... well, money is in short supply. Problem is? all this stuff I've read about re-calibration charges!!!! Any1 tell me what the latest cost is on this? Yeah! I've also read about these 'cells' going down and the cost of this is NOT good news so if any1 can shed some light on this matter before I jump in feet 1st without a life jacket! I'd really be grateful. Ps. If any1 has experience of another 'better' analyser? I'm all ears,Cheers

Call Anton, also if buying second hand get s/n off of screen not back if instrument as if it's stolen Anton will not service it.

Wouldn't buy a second hand one. Repair and calibration costs could put it over the price of a new one plus as Zeb said there is always the chance it is nicked which means you've been shafted.

Work out the costs over a 5 year plus lifetime. Cost of machine plus yearly calibration.
Kane 455 is one of the cheapest overall.
Expensive kit if you just fit boilers needed because the manu's can't trust themselves to set a boiler up right leaving the factory.
