Any experience with a Fortic Combination Tank

Hi

a friend of mine has a small flat with an IMI Direct Fortic Combination Tank, size is 1200 X 450. It looks quite old and appears to be leaking a very small weep but I cannot see where it is coming from. I have not come across one of these before.

There is a cold water storage tank which sits above the hot water tank, and it is separated by what looks like a layer of foam between the cold water tank and the hot water tank. The foam feels wet but I still cannot see where the leak is.

Has anyone come across this problem and can offer some advice

Cut away foam so you can investigate further.

Have you checked to see if the the ball valve is dripping,
It could be that the overflow pipe is not correctly fitted and with a dripping overflow it could just be that the small tank ontop is overflowing when there is little use.
