Someone on another thread on here mentioned that Hep20 and Polyplumb are better fittings and pipe than Speedfit. Is this true, are certain pushfit brands better than others?

everyone will have a preferance based on price etc john guest have a good name

fair question, if they are suposed to be reliable, what about pipe-life then for around half the price as others??????????

I'd use john guest if money wasn't an issue for cust and they wanted to use White plastic. Hep20 for the budget/hidden pipework. The hep grey stuff is awful when it's on show

Its all **** when on show.

Has anyone used any of the crimp on stuff yet?

We regularily use crimp copper fittings if thats what you mean.

Carrying the bleeding thing with a spare battery is the main hassle, but you dont need your torch, solder, steel wool etc.

I think the geberit crimpers are around £500 mark.
