You have a couple of problems there, and you should get a gas safe guy in.
It sounds like its boiled over once too often and needs an engineer

cheers tipintim
im in rented accomidation and my landlord being an arse as usual, it was only fitted 2 yrs ago and hes never had it serviced yet, been on phone to him today n says im gna av to wait

you tell your landlord you also want to see the current gas landlord safety cert and can you please have the gas safe engineers number so you can check its the same engineer that came around presumably when you were there , i would tell him also i anit paying no rent and he can pay your laundry bill ,cheeky sod

There are more and more landlords being heavilly fined these days for
not having up to date certs. (so they should) Gas safe magazine.
If your hurt by the offending boiler, he will go to nik. (so they should)

Have you rented through an agent. ?

it is against the law to rent a property without a current gas landlord safety cert, If you have kids he is taking the mick big time, tell him you will have to stay with relatives until its fixed or I would tell him you aint paying the rent and that is above board ,

no didnt go through agents wish we had wudnt have all this ****, wish landlords and tennents should have to show service records to gas safe or council, hes finally pulled his finger out his bum and getting plumber out, dnt know when mind but plumber left me a message so, hoping boiler knackerd so he gotta shell out for new one serve him right for leaving it this long eh,
