Asbestos flues

Got a job to change a primatic cylinder and one pipe system to an indirect cylinder and two pipe system. Oil fired boiler in bungalow with cylinder in loft.

There is a long flue coming up into loft from boiler and it is asbestos. Seems to be sound so is it a safe work environment as long as it has no cracks in outer casing or is any asbestos bad? Even if its intact?

aslong as its in good condition then its will be fine. Particals will only be present if the material is breaking down or damaged.

all asbestos is bad when you disturb the flue the dust will go everywhere,dont take chances with it,its the biggest killer in our industry,go on to the HSE site theres loads on there about it

Will probably use a mist spray on it for a bit of surety.
