Back solo 15he ignition lockout

Hi chaps. Anyone know much about faults on this boiler. It keeps going to ignition lock out after about a days running. I have stripped the boiler and checked condensate for blockages but it is fine. Flow and return temps not getting that hot that it locks out either.

The trouble is is I have been there twice and it has always worked. Then they reset it and I turn up and cannot get it to fault. Apparently when it happens they say the burner light flashes on and off and then lockout occurs. So maybe new electrodes?

Yea also there leads on the condense that cut the boiler, they need to be totally dry

Did you put your anylyser in the boiler ? i had one today doing the same thing readings were .006 and climbing wipped it out quick combustion door seal had broken down and the seal on ceramic burner also , new seal on the door a bit of fire cement kept it going until new burner arrives tomorrow worth a check mutley . cheers kop

Yeh I randomly come across it one night an got to admit find myself referring to it all time

Yep, put analyser in and all within limits. Co2 8, .0001 ratio and co 49ppm

It should do mate once it’s actually locked out,that’s from the MI’s the sequence of lights on pcb once locked out indicate roughly why it has locked out

Would bet money on condensate leads.

Not had flame sensing electrodes yet on these but have had them go on Ideal Logics after a few years.

Serviced a few with this & are awkward to work on & imho a poor design.

Had it on father in laws boiler - was condensate sensing cables/sensors after i had cleaned the condensate out as it was minging. (Potterton Promax SL). Pain in the arse - part of baxi group.

Reason why fitted is because of upwards firing burner, a blocked condensate would wreck boiler - burner/gas valve, etc.

Bonus, if it goes **** up i can fit a decent one for him..........

Hi there,

I replaced condensate waste syphon as it looked like previous person/co servicing had a bad day with super glue or similar adhesive.

If it was in good condition i would of vac'd through first to clear excess moisture and then put syphon in my airing cupboard over night or pinched wifes hairdryer and blown through on cool/low setting for a good while to fully dry out.

Replaced the burner and that solved the problem i had running sweet now best of luck kop

Well, Went back there on Friday and pulled out the trap and dried condensate terminals and leads. No call backs as of yet and It was tripping after each time zone on clock. Thanks all.

Now for another bit of advice. I got a turbomax plus diverter to change today but the manual has no info on How to change parts. I just want to know where the drain off is on this boiler.
