I can just see it now...

"Is that the plumber?"

"Yes, yes it is"

"Can you re-plumb my whole house in plastic?"

"Probably, what's the problem?"

"It's my hair, I get split ends"

"Are you mental?"

Is that where the saying copper top comes from LOL

No. The term 'copper top' is used to describe a person with ginger hair. It can also be used as a racial slur or derogatory way to describe a person of minority with lots of freckles, pale skin and of course - a ginger hair folicle imbalance.

Yeah - it is a right load of tosh!

Everyday they come up with a new one:

'Apples give you cancer.'

'Apples cure cancer . . . .'

'Stand on your head and all your money will fall out of your pockets!'

Some people have WAY too much time on their hands . . ..

feels like they just want to justify their spending by once a time to say something like this 😀

Probably, I remember some expensive 'scientific research' going on a few years ago to see why corn flakes go soggy when you pour milk over them.

ANSWER: "Corn flakes go soggy when you pour milk over them because the milk makes them soggy."

Or something to that effect, I kid you not.

Copper is present naturally in water and any one who suffers from blue staining on grout lines usally lives in a area with a high copper TDS water supply. plastic pipe work will not cure this problem but could help if the water supply has a low ph level or suffers from electrolysis. Any base metal dissolved in water is just as agressive to hair and skin as copper and some such as lead are much worse. Fitting a ion exchange water softener would solve any heavy base metal problem that can occur, and using potassiam chloride salt tablets instead of sodiam chloride will make the water potable as well.
Long story short: I wouldn't get rid of copper pipe work based on this article.
