Bar Mixer shower cartridge.

I have a standard cheapy bar mixer shower that isn't getting hot and the customer wants to keep the shower. (It's got a diverter and a big shower rose head)

Will a standard bar mixer cartridge do the job?? Ie from another bar mixer I have as spare in the garage?? Are they all 1/2" ?

You need to take the current cartridge out and compare it to the spare you have.
If it looks the same it will 'probably' work, but be prepared for a drive round the merchants to get a replacement if it doesn't.

Get the info off the shower and contact shower doctor.com. believe me they know everything about showers..

Alot of that bar showers have different cartridges and the splines are slightly diff but like Jc and whyme said you can only check, if centres are 150 on both can you not just swap the showers , the diverter just screws on anyway and put your one upside for the diverter , just a thought

Ok thanks lads. The only issue with that kris is the hot and cold feeds will be backwards now. I think she's buying a new shower instead now.
