Do you understand that "Bar" is a measure of pressure, one "bar" being equal to the pressure exerted by a 10 metre "head" (or height) of water. When you dive down to the bottom of a swimming pool you can feel the pressure on your ears and if you went down to a depth of 10 metres the water would be exerting a pressure of 1 bar on your body.
