Bath filler and pull-out shower controlled by shower valve?

Hello everyone!

For my new bathroom - in a quest for minimalism - I was thinking of getting a free flow bath filler (the ones that sit inside the bath, and incorporate an overflow), a pull-out shower (with the hose hidden in the bath, when not used) and a concealed thermostatic twin shower valve with diverter on the wall (which will operate the two).

First of all, I have not seen this "set-up" in any catalogue or website I have seen. Is this something unusual/wrong? (I am not a plumber...)


And could I mix a thermostatic shower valve from one brand with a pull-out shower of another brand?

Any help would/tip be appreciated.

I fitted a set up just like that two years ago.
Italian whirlpool bath, Grohe thermo mixer.

thanks... I'm not familiar with the terminology... is that something i need to check when buying the thermostatic shower valve? or something i need to fit "extra"?

Not a problem,you purchase separately and can mix and match,you get the bath over flow/filler,this may have two inlets,you just cap one ,then the shower kit and then the thermostatic control that you can divert between the two or three,you could have a bath filler,fixed shower head and then a flexi hose shower head in bath or,I have fitted one in the sink counter,so they could use for washing hair ect

Best nip down your local plumbers merchants and have a chat and they should have brochures to look at
