Bath pop up mushroom grate

Hi.
Purchased a new bath overflow and waste. I've never came across a grate without a screw?? This overflow and waste looks like you screw the underneath part until it's tight with the grate??? Obviously with added silicone. Would I be right in this??? Thanks
