I've been asked to repair a waste water system in an attic-converted bathroom where a Saniflo was being used to remove WC, Basin, Shower and Bath water into the main soil stack. It couldn't deal with it and either requires 2 Saniflows or can I run the bath, shower and basin waste into the rainwater downpipe, which I'm pretty sure ( I will check!) goes into a combined rainwater/waste main drain. If I can are there any issues to be aware of re materials etc?

It is combined the RW. pipe will be into a trapped gully. (to stop sewer gases being emitted from pipe/gutter connection) Putting waste water into the RW. will promote odour and can not be vented at a higher level with success. It was the practice in years gone bye via a hopper head normally cut into the RW pipe at first floor level to receive bath/basin wastes.

if you dont get your facts right it could cost you big time if the water board find out, foul into RW=big fine, need to put a system in to suit your needs.
