Most likely partialy blocked secondary heat exchanger. Needs to be done by a RGI and can be cleaned. Insist that it is cleaned rather than replace otherwise it could become expensive.

thats what i always thought but a friend of mine did not renew his corgi and got a phone call from corgi telling him he can work on boiler but not touch gas or brake any combustion seals.

Not True. Lots of people ask me if they install their own boiler and I just do the gas. The answer is always no. The soon to be defunct Corgi insist that any work on a boiler is carried out by a Corgi registered engineer regardless of working on the gas side or not

if u needed stitches on a bad cut would u do it yourself,{u probably would manage with the correct tools }
but is it the right thing to do ?? no , because there could b problems down the line, and where is the comeback when u die from infection. gas is potentially lethal never mind the expense!!!! don t do gas yourself

get the gas docter in .{registered }
