been asked to look at a baxi back boiler by a landlord - was told engineer did gas cert on it then was called back as it cut out after 20mins use, he told the landlord to get someone else in has he has not worked on many - the other engineer apparently isolated the boiler but i have no infomation why - dont know wether to steer clear - was thinking possile flue problem and the asd tube is picking up poc or pilot problems when burner comes on . told him i will look but i want any paperwork they left .any common problems
 
on the 401/551/552 or the newer manual series its normally the pump(or sludge) or thermostat or flame lift nothing else to go wrong,on the electronic versions its any of the above,pcb or sensor doubt its the asd would not think it would run for twenty mins
 
older Bermudas used to be virtually bullet proof, like gasman says sounds circulation related.
