Baxi main potterton diverter valve part no.248061

Hello lads , just had one of my tenants on the phone saying his rads are heating up when he has ran a bath . Yes its the diverter valve, but has anyone just use a repair kit and sorted the issue out . New valve £135. Repair kit £30. I have the old one from my change a few months back to have a go at . Or is it not worth the chew ??? Thanks in anticipation.:thinking:

Get a gas safe engineer in, and ask him. He,s got the qualifications to do it.

Do what i do, go with a valve and repair kit... remove the front and see if the problem's the spindle crudded up! replace the front and front valve cleaning out it's seating! If you've got to remove the whole valve then put the new one in! Then at home fit the service kit to the old one so that you have a swap next time it comes to fitting the kit 🙂 does that make sense? 🙂
