Hi all,
I have a 3 bed semi ( medium size ) with a back-boiler behind an old fashioned gas fire in the back, dowstairs room.
I have 8 radiators that never all work together even after trying to balance the system by opening the upstairs rads only minutely.So we live with 2 or 3 switched off to be warm downstairs in the evenings.
I had my winter quarterly gas bill and almost died when I read £382 ! That's by having it on 8 hours a day.
So I have come to the conclusion that I need a better system and am considering a Vailant condensing boiler. Anyone reccomend the best one and what the job is likely to cost? I will need the old back-boiler, copper tank removing and a Vaillant put in. I have noticed that the gas pipe from my meter is only 15mm???
