BG salus 3 port

curiosity calling (for an easy life/job)

can anyone tell me what the model of 3 port valve do british gas fit and where one may obtain one ie, national merchant?
its the type in the blue plastic case or do all their valve tops fit the brass valve bodies?

the heating system is a bit of a mare so i just want to change the head rather than the body!!!

Arnt those valves the same as the drayton ma1's??

They are drayton valves

Agreed, BG use Drayton to manufacture there valves. Drayton MA1 will do the job provided it is the quick release version. The older versions are screwed to the valve body and not replaceable.

and yes its a quick release snap on type. are they white ones then?

What exactly is wrong with it anyway?

Having looked at the picture it looks like a Salus SBMV32.
3 PORT SBMV32 - MOTORISED VALVE (22 mm)
Dosen't look like they supply replacement actuators either. May have to be the whole valve.

It. Does look like a salus I think you can see the spring clips holding the head to the body (though the resolution of pic is a little low to be 100%)

I'd be swapping it out complete for a Honeywell myself

Did one last week ! Drayton fits straight on, fault with the one I did was the body letting by but fits OK.

this customer has to save up to pay me to do this one so the easier the better for both of us...or i get my dosh either way lol.

yes it does have like 4 metal roll clips holding it to the valve.

do you think this one will fit?
