leaks in system, what kind of system are you on vented or unvented, combi etc

I have a old back boiler with a vented hot water cylinder. think its quite old. not aware of any leaks or drips thow.

like redsaw has said it could be due to pump location, system pumping negative rather than postive thus sucking air into system.

the pump is downstairs, rads are fine there. rad in bathroom next to the cylinder is fine too. i was going to bleed the pump but it has been placed in a way to make that imposible with out removing it!! .😕
