So friends, what is the best way to unblock a toilet please?

The custard reckons too many tissues

She's tried to plunge

Last one I did I used a drain rod & plunge end.

Any other ways? I don't particularly want to get my hands in there as you can imagine

if its just in the bog and not in the system take the loo out, over a man hole and mains water both sides

If the blockage is in the pan then plunger, just because they have tried doesn't mean it can't work!

If it's in the drain/soil then get the rods out mucka and start warming up:sorcerer:

Its amazing!! Its got some serious vacuum action and will clear blockages partway down a stack as well as the pan.

Its a tad expensive (£50) but so worth it as you don't need to get too bear the pan yo pump it which is a bonus!!!

Yup.. The temptation was too much. Plus I had a blocked toilet that day which it cleared in seconds...

I hate clearing bogs with a passion. Any call I get, my immediate response is: 'There will be a £100 minimum charge to clear the blockage'. Most customers say they will call me back, but never do. Everyone is a winner. Just comming in now from unblocking a WM stand pipe. Charged £80 but customer has just sent a message pleading to pay £65. I will not respond but just let her pay what she wants. She wants me to fix a date to replace her bath taps, so what she pays now will determine if I return there or not.
Anyways, I might consider that £50 tool. Can't see any price on there???

I hate clearing bogs too... I also do the Japanese trick of putting self adhesive film over the pan, flushing and pushing the bubble down when rises.. Has worked a few times but its hit and miss depending in the pan.

But the virax is great!!!

You can say that again. I do have an account with them but rarely use it as they are in a world of their own? You go there to ask for parts to carry out a boiler repairs. Even though you give them all the necessary information, they take their time phoning all around and checking here and there only to tell you they don't think the part exists?

The old way is the best way & a 10th of the price! This is what I basically use and it works all the time on loo blockages if used right. It's just down to how you use it. You need to be good at short forward & back thrusting. :smile:
