Blue residue on coal effect gas fire

Hi

I dont know if this is the right place to post this question but here it is

I have been cleaning my coal effect gas fire today and i am a bit dissturbed because there is some blue and white residue on the base matrix .

What is it , is it normal and is it dangerous as i have never seen it before
