Hi All,
I'm hoping I can get some tips on this one as I'm at a complete loss - it's a little tricky to explain so bare with me.
So basically I have the following

Usually this 2nd dial is turned all the way to the left - I'll explain why it's to the right later.
During the Summer the heating hasn't needed to be on so I've never really bothered with this - if I turn the hot water on or get a shower then the boiler fires and hot water comes out of the taps with the 2nd dial all the way to the left - lovely.
Now that the winter has started to come in I programmed the thermostat and whilst I was testing it I noticed that it doesn't fire the boiler when it says it should, notice in the image the flame symbol to show it's calling for heat but the boiler never fires, again works for hot water but nothing through the radiators.
Each radiator has a rad-stat - turned them all up to 5 bar two of them.
The only way I can get heating is by turning that dial to the right and it fires the boiler and starts heating the radiator. Depending how far to the right I turn that depends on how hot the heating goes but its not controlled by the thermostat.
To add another complication turning that dial to the right seems to ignore the radstat settings, the radiator in the bedroom comes on to full heat even if the radstat is set to the frost symbol or 0.
