Afternoon. A customer of mine has asked me to replace the timer on his boiler? To a seven day one. Just wanted to know if this is a difficult job, and do I need to be gas safe to do this? Don't want to break the law!! Cheers as always

you just need to be competent with electrics its not a difficult job but if your unsure best left to a competent person

Thanks gas man. Just don't want to lose out and pass on to another plumber as he is a customer who I have done four jobs for now, plus his sister wants same thing doing so don't want to lose his work! May get my sparky cousin to help

If it is a common timer the manufacturer might supply the same clock in 7 day vairiant with the same base plate so it be a click off click on job for the timer.
