Hi all,

Small but strange one, I have a Bosch Worcester 25si in the house (About 5 years old - Serviced every year from those who installed it).

No problems till today. I go to put the CH on realized it had not fired up.

I fired up the hot water tap and red light on, followed by pilot light a few secs later - hot water all good! However no CH light even though the programmer was set to "on".

If I try to manually turn on the heating from the Drayton RF3 the lights on the receiver are showing heating is on, just nothing is happening inside the boiler.

I tried new batteries in the transmitter and re-sync'd it to the receiver also. The receiver flashes red to show it is talking to the transmitter, just the boiler won't action it.

Looked on this forum and found lots of useful info, just couldn't see anything covering this.

Thanks in advance all!

Hi there, *I have a spanner button but no chimney.

If I hold the spanner down for 10 secs the boiler fires up and all the lights are flashing on.

Would this mean it could be the controller?

Thanks for your reply 🙂

EDIT: Here is a pic of the front if that helps

Thanks for the reply again Simon. Guess I will grab the pros in who fitted and serviced it for me. Hoping I could of had a quick fix, maybe not :smug2:

I just tried that spanner button again. It fired up and had all lights lit with the blue centre one doing 5 flashes every 10 secs or so. Now if I set the wireless drayton thermostat to come on manaully from 18c upto 22c we have the radiators heating up.

Would that point to the thermostat mainly or the clock? Guessing the clock is an internal part of the boiler?

cheers again Simon

No the override button does not light up when pressed. However I think that it has never lite up? At least I think the one time I tried it yeas back it never.

Its a wireless room thermostat (drayton RF3 digistat) and a Dayton receiver which is wirless yet wired into the boiler).

Cheer for the advise so far, dead helpful 🙂

Turn power off at switch. Do not reconnect to stat

Press override button.

Override should illuminate. If it does and boiler doesn't fire then you will prob need a new rf setup. I'd reccomened an upgrade to a Honeywell system

Yes your right Simon. With it switched off and back on again ( with the stat being connected ) I can now get override to illuminate. However as you said the boiler does not fire up.

Will look into the Honeywell system, guess this is one for the pros to fit?

I am a data cabler so work with cables copper / fibre ( and sparks) so this seems ok to get involved with.

Thanks for your help - Will look at the sundial. Would be good to have something with a 7 day program on 🙂
