Hi all,
I'm after some advice, the flush mechanism on my toilet has recently broken. I have a push button flush. The toilet is enclosed and totally boxed in, inside a vanity unit. There is no access to the inner workings of the toilet anywhere. The top is blocked with a heavy marble surface that has my bowl sink glued to it. So access from above would mean ripping the sink off and potentially causing substantial damage. Ive been advised by an handyman friend that you cant get access by removing the toilet. None of the panelling nor the push button itself allows access.
It seems I may have to fork out to replace the whole lot. Would anyone know if I can put in any sort of claim against whoever installed it. It is supposedly a new bathroom that was fitted by the property developers who we bought our home off. We only moved in, in August.

It would help if you could post some pictures we may be able to spot ways to get access if they exist. You may not be able to add pics straight off as a new member but you can pm them to me and I will post them on your thread for you.

usually i remove the marble worktop.
or if your push button is a large square plate this dismantles from the outside to reveal a kind of letterbox to allow maintenance
