Bpec aptitude assessment

hello all,

i applied for an apprenticeship with my local council, i am so far successful with my application, i have been invited to sit an aptitude assessment. if i pass it, i will be invited to an interview.

has anyone sat this particular test. will it be basic multiple choice involving maths and such.

or will there be complicated things such as water regulations etc..

I wouldn’t worry to much and i would doubt there would be anything related to the regs or even moderate to complex plumbing questions, When i did my apprenticeship we sat entry exams and it was basic mathematics with some mechanical questions such as 4 cogs all in line if cog a rotates clockwise then what direction would cog d rotate, nothing strenuous.

The assessments are designed to test how well you can apply maths and other skills to ensure you would be capable of completing the course.

I wouldn’t worry, relax and you'll do fine!

thanks a lot for the reply. how long ago did u do ur apprenticeship? can you remember the interview? any tips on that? cheers again
