If you've been paid off within 3 months the job centre do a "rapid response" fund. I applied for it 6 weeks agi and am still waiting to hear back! If it goes through i'll be £1400 better off 🙂

Same place as everyone else. As puddle said or do it on your own.
There are some grants available from time to time but the amount of nonsense you have to go through to get them puts most off.

Apparently yes! I asked what the limit was and the lady said there is no limit it just comes down to whether or not it gets approved. I find it a bit hard to believe but we will see. Thats for Gas Safe registraiton in my own name, an FGA kit (i'm going with the Kane I reckon) and some cash for advertising. I'll update if I get it!

Sinse she is feeling so generous ask her about the funding for a used transit. No point in them giving you the cash for a fga if you need to get the bus😛

I lost my job september and went self emplyed then and asked about grants etc. Basically if you have worked and paid taxes you get nothing however if you are an imigrant, crack head, dole scrounge, thief, robber or in and out of jail you seem to be able to get all the help you need.😡

So if you fancy changing your nationality getting a drug habbit, rob the occaisonal old lady and be up in court every other week you may get a few quid.

I learnt alot when I was made redundant about many things, but the main thing I learnt is that you get sod alll from this country if you work hard.
