Hi guys

i wanna buy a camera for taking decent quality photos of my work for my twitter, Facebook, blog and website.
and to an extent to cover my bum

Looking at the fugi finepix range and it looks alright fir the job

any thoughts?

Luminix/Panasonic are fairly decent cameras all depends on your budget really I keep thinking about it as I need one for the insurance work but have been getting by with iPad and phone

Make sure you get a fast f stop.
Lots of the time you will be indoors in poor light so need a bright lens.

Try for F2 wide open and nothing slower than F2.8.

Larger sensor the better.

Personally if I were you id look for a cheap aps-c dslr with a nifty fifty mm lens on at F1.4

Pick them up for 150 quid and wont dissapoint

This one here:
Samsung NV7 OPS Digital Camera - and 2 batteries **99p NO RESERVE ** 0840356972787 | eBay

I own the NV5 AND NV7 plus WB5500.
NV5 AND NV7 are almost the same except NV7 has anti-shake. Both are 7.2 mp's which is ample for what you need.
Brilliant lens. The Macro and Super Macro for close work, which you may wish to put on here, is breathtaking.
Thought long and hard before I posted here, as I almost bid on this one myself.
Do it.
You will not be disappointed.
Plus it's one of the most beautifully designed pieces of equipment I own.

Below are a few shots where I'm experimenting with shade and blow-out, not errors! Just messing about with the histogram.

My website designer thought it would be a good idea to set me up a Twitter/Facebox/blog etc 2 years ago I can can honestly say I've got less than zero interest to bother with it. In all that time I havent touched it.

I carry round an 8 megapixal camera at all times and can also make phone calls on it.
Why bother with an extra gadget to worry about?

Remember to set your ISO for 100 or 200.This should suit you.
Buy a tripod cheap as chips they are too.
Set camera timer at something like a 5 second delay

Phones will do the job in ordinary good daylight. But if you are showcasing on the web - you want good clean images and as plumbing gas etc is usually indoors with poor light you will want a decent camera with a powerful flash.

Its horses for courses

oh my gosh
