Please help....I have 2 combi boilers in my house with loft extention, 11 rads 2 bathrooms and kitchen, I want take off one of the boilers and connect the other to a megaflow/cylinder to meet the demands of the household, a plumber is saying I can not connect a combi to a megaflow/cylinder as it has to be a system boiler and is telling me to buy a brand new boiler and is adamant on this idea..... But another plumber says a combi boiler can be fitted to a mega flow or cylinder....please as I'm am confused and don't want to waste my money thank you please help

Ask on here an someone will come round and sort it out for you. I have been told there are loads of competent peeps on here.

leave the kitchen on the combi hw side and pipe up heating as an s plan as mentioned, just get hold of a decent heating technician, not your plumber

Yes you can do and its correct to connect it to an unvented cylinder as an S plan, however the wiring must pass through the high level cut off on the cylinder so if the cylinder is overheating it will trip the boiler out. The installation must be completed by someone who has a G3 licence. They are a great system if you have the correct incoming water pressure and flow rate, but if installed incorrectly you literally have a bomb on your hands!

Why can't you run it off the heating using s plan but have the high limit stat interrupting the power to the 2 port, why does it have to cut the boiler off?

It's an Eco so just check your training guide
