Bit of a strange one this , can you get a 3/4-1/2 brass bush with a flange?. the problem Iam haveing changed rad valves on a rad, now leak on the bush had it out and resealed twice ,leaks so fitted a new bush drips again , tryed tape. hemp no luck so want to try a flange is one is out there.

Is the bush cracked? Common problem if you tighten the tail into the bush before tightening into the radiator .

Iron fittings have a tapered thread.

Brass fittings have a parallel thread.

Normally.

If you are trying to get a parallel fitting into a radiator that had a tapered thread before, you will struggle, can be done with half a role of well fitted hemp!

Personally I would get a new black iron bush

Might not be the bush, have known the item that the bush goes into spliting open a little bit in the commerical world if to much heave hoe being used.

Get a 3/4 taper thread to 1/2 smash on loads if locktight (10 turns) then a finger of jet blue

Like Ermi says it needs to be tapered, steel bush 3/4" to 1/2", I use PTFE string, but tape or whatever. what kind of rad have you with 3/4" thread is it steel??

Merchant should have a 3/4 T thread to 3/4 socket. Run a 3/4 to 1/2 bush then tail. Bit of a monster but if you can't get the above suggestions .
