😱 A neighbour has been round they had there bathroom done about ten months ago I sorted the bath taps as the installer had used flexi's and there was very poor flow. Kinks everywhere, anyway saying the WC smells been round had a look, but no vent or aav in sight or manhole surely this is wrong.

Now my thoughts are could this smell be as a result of a newer wc being fitted with a smaller volume of water being available? But they didnt get rid of a vent pipe or aav😱

Is the water level in pan low? In my house we have no vent or AAV and it started pulling the trap out leading to smells. It turned out to be a blockage near our septic tank causing a lack of space for air to vent from our neighbours vents or the septic tank. Cleared the blockage and all is fine again.
Psh, i never seem to have time or money to sort my own house out;(
