hi, i am meant to be doing my ccn1 starting on monday. now the woman on the phone said that as i had an nvq3 in heating and vent that puts me in catogary 2 and that it will take 2 days training and 2 days of assesments, is that right? i thought it would take longer. also do i need to do a portfolio of work as to complete? she asked if i had worked with a gas engineer for 6 months, and that he would need to sign something to say i had.

no way on gods green earth can you learn all for ccn1 in 2 days and unless you have been working with an engineer will you have the practical experience
what training provider is this
that sounds like the re-assesment package for experienced engineer

fast in fast out ,lots of lolly for trainer,no one seems to fail fast track.it would not encourage others to take up expencive training if there was a high failure rate,draw your own conclusions to standerds

i am doing my acs at moment and it is based over 6 months and requires portfolio with
minimum of
6 installs
6 landlord certs
6 repairs/services
just for cen1 and ccn1 any provider offering ccn1 in 2 days is a joke
this is what an experienced engineer would do for his re-assesment

well, started today, and it seems the re assessesment course is the same as the initial course! still dont see how that works

well i spent a year at college for gas 34 weeks in college terms and 5 days sitting my acs and produced a portfolio which is complete

just waiting for gas safe to get back to me now
