Hello everyone, I really hope I might be able to get some advice here.
We have just bought a house with a C&M boiler and reading a few forums it doesnt seem to be the best one around...
a couple of weeks ago we had our gas meter changed from pre-paid to normal and when the guy turned the boiler back on the heating was coming on fine but the hot water symbol on the display wouldnt even come on and since doesnt seem to recognize when the hot water is turned on.
When the boiler fires up for the heating I can frequently see the E04 Error message coming up but that has been happening since we moved in and didnt affect the hot water before.
The plumber we had out ordered a new flow switch as the hotline told him that was the problem, but after replacing it there was no change. Now they are saying it must be the Printed Circuit Board and its gonna cost me GBP220 for the part alone.
I dont necessarily mind how much it is, but as I am due to give birth on Saturday and last time it took more than a week for the flow switch to arrive I wanted to get some advice if there is anything else it might be rather than waiting that long for it not to work again..
Sorry for attaching the sob story, let me know if you need any more info about the boiler, I do not know the model numberand currently dont know where to look for it.
Any help appreciated
