Just had a custard ask if I can put together some wooden chairs,

I said ok, live in Langley, she said she's in Newbury (about 50 miles away from me),

Told her I couldn't get to her but I'd help her for free if she comes to me.

Whooaaa .. She's goes off her head, who the f@%^* do I think I am etc.

I tell her I am a person who has chairs that can be sat on!

I bid her good tidings & hang up!!

got a call at five tonight, hi jonathan how are you, fine says I 🙂, its Mrs P,,,,, you know. you put our boiler in (5 years ago and then slagged me off when it needed a prv to stop it flicking on/off due to the water pressure being boosted by the water company 6 months later). Oh I remember says I, how can I help? Oh the boiler isnt working,need you to pop out to it. Oh dear, isnt your new plumber able to fix it? ask I, oh no she says, he is on holiday and refuses to come out. Oh dear said I, what you need is a chap that looks after his regular customers, pity that, you arent, have a good xmas, night night 🙂 Karma is wonderful, especially when you hand it out 5 years later on 🙂🙂🙂

I am a firm believer no one should ever be called out on Xmas day, it's one of the reasons I'll never go direct labour again, eventually it'd be my turn 🙁

We look after hospitals Tom, and old people's homes. So they'd need heat and hot water.

There's me and a plumber on for the day, another gasman and plumber take over boxing day, and then it's back to the normal rota.

I'm quietly confident. I was on call on xmas eve last year, the call divert didn't get lifted off my phone until the 28th. No calls.

Went to look at a f**ked Isar a couple weeks ago. The only right solution was to rip it out and put a new one in so a day or so later I put a quote through their door.
I heard a day or so later they also had another engineer that I know round, who said exactly the same as me and also put a quote in that was within £100 of mine.

I THEN heard they had some other guys come round and install a boiler last Saturday for a very cheap price (much cheaper than me and the other engineers quotes).

Had a call an hour ago:

"Hi LPC, remember us?? Thanks for the quote, we got a new boiler but it isn't working properly and we can't get hold of the installer....."

"Sorry love, closed for Xmas.'
