i am ,to be honest never made any difference,i have been a registerd plumber since 1967 no one has ever asked to see certificate.

i enquired 2 years ago, was about to sign up, then started for a firm. didnt see the point after that. looked promising at the time.

Yes I am a member and yes it does enhance your image by being a member,it proves you take the industry seriously and that you believe in high standards of workmanship
The institution is respected by bodies all around the world

I joined as a trainee a month ago and it was worth it - in the short term, it was £10 for the remainder of the year and meant I could join up with Plumbfix to get trade prices on tools!

In the longer term, As you work your way up you can join as a registered plumber and advertise as such in the yellow pages etc, which I think is good.

Well I would listen to your friend, they are always right
I remember once. I was at a party and this 5'8" lass walked up with long blonde hair, legs up to her arm pits, body you would die for, she was all over me, we hit it off straight away and I was just about to get in the taxi home with her, lucky for me, my friend, told me this girl just leads lads on for a free ride home never goes half’s on the taxi fare, a quick calculation ,I released I would be down £25,enterance stage left,
Anyway as I sat at home, 20 mins later that night, playing Mario brothers on me nintindo, I though, thank heavens for friends and their advice
Turns out she never went half’s on the taxi fare, as her father owned the firm and she or her partner never paid owt and she only went home with lads she really liked

Always do your own diligence

If you do, think you will be appling for application forms tomorrow

And I may have.................oooo....it hurts just thinking about it
