I have been to a job today where the cistermiser is constantly flushing and filling the cistern very fast so i turned the stopcock right down to slow the flow into the cistern which is fitted after the cistermiser and it suddenly stopped so i re opened the stopcock and now nothing is happening? It hasnt a infered or pir sensor on it its colour is gray and blue, how does it work and y has it suddenly stopped, if any1 could shed some light on it for me would be great thanks

When someone runs water the pressure change triggers a timed flow into the cistern, If yours has been working fine then suddenly gone off it probably needs a service, Take it off, clean out the filter on the inlet. Re-fit it and screw down the adjustment screw fully, then open it gradually, running a tap quickly to get the valve to flow.

On the model I think you are talking about don't open it up.

I'd just get a new one really.

Make sure you get the correct one, I think there's three different ones for different pressures.

You can re-set them quite easily if they go out of sync. Just do what I said with the adjusting screw. Count the number of turns you wind it in, then wind it back out by the same.

Some types of these run off AA batteries, check these. Otherwise open the valve and use the adjusting screw.
