Close coupled seal for 2" flush with 100mm OD?

I'm trying to locate a close coupled cistern seal (foam or rubber) for a 2" flush with a 100mm OD and 67mm ID. All I can find is 105mm, 107, or 110mm OD.

The pan recess for the seal will only accept 100mm OD.

Any ideas on where I could go?

Would get the 105mm od one it doesn’t matter if it squashes out of the recess a bit as it’s foam

I tried a 105mm and it didn't seal. The ones in your post are 11/2". I need a 2".

Fluidmaster sent me a rubber one that was supposed to be a direct replacement. However, that was 110mm, so I cut the outer 10mm off in desperation, that fitted fine, except it was to thin. The cistern was resting on the pan and the seal could still move up and down.

The foam seal that came with the new toilet was included with the fluidmaster cistern kit and worked like a treat. However, I had to remove the cistern due to faulty isolation valve that I bought new ! The seal was only on for 2 days but obviously its now 1/2 of its original thickness which pre-crushed was around 30mm.

Only option I have is plenty of silicon on the old one.

There 2” dia id eg 55mm etc

Any pictures of the recess what fuildmaster kit did you install eg siphon / drop valve and fill etc

I ended up leaving the foam washer overnight and it expanded by around 30%. Enough to put it back on without any need for silicon and 'so far', its leak free. So fingers crossed, it will allow me enough time to speak with the supplier to source a correct one for the future.

I forgot to take pics of the recess. The flush valve is shown in the attached pic (offending article circled in red). The fill valve is a Fluidmaster Torbeck.

Hi, well you seem to have found the answer, but for the record a Doughnut is Not a Seal, it’s designed to stop the cistern coupling bolts sitting directly on the pan, nothing to do with stopping water, it couldn’t it’s made of porous compressible foam.

Also anyone reading this, silicone sealant doesn’t help, I just had to replace a cistern and spent forty minutes, even using silicone dissolver to remove the old sealant before I could put the suite back together with a new Fluidmaster doughnut, so please don’t do this, silicone has its uses, this isn’t one of them!

I think you'll find it is made from 'high density closed cell foam' which is fully watertight. Otherwise many millions of toilets across the UK would be leaking more than Edward Snowden. Boggyleaks
