Came across a strange one today, discoloured (cloudy white) water coming from hot tap continuously. It is a Worcester Highflow 440 CDi floor standing combi boiler, the mains cold water to all outlets is clear and fine. The boiler has been recently fitted I understand, but has been running this discoloured water for over a month now.

The property is a large 3 storey preoperty with approx 15 rads. I dont think there is a crossed pipe into the heating pipework as the boiler does not lose pressure when hot tap is on and the quickfill is not connected.

I am a bit baffled to say the least, anyone come across this problem before?

Thanks

thought it was something more sinister than that thanks alot, howcome ive never seen it before? is it only in certain areas of the country with certain water hardness or something?

all combis can do this, if you slow the water through the boiler it will get cloudier normally, especially if the boiler has poor hot temp control. One way to put a customer at ease if this is happening is to put it in a clear glass wait for it to clear.
