Hi All

Can I put in a quick plea for people to vote on the two Intergas poem polls?

When I pitch the idea of freebies to manufacturers, I talk up this forum, and the quantity and quality of its membership. They will only give freebies if they think their brand is going to be promoted to a large number of installers. Getting 7000 plus views on the first week's thread was brilliant, and I can use that to encourage other manufacturers to play.

But all that is defeated if the polls only get a few votes. If manufacturers see just the 10 votes on one thread, and 13 on the other, they arent going to dip into their pockets. We need hundreds and hundreds of votes.

So - even if you don't care about Intergas, and hate poetry, and have completely lost interest in the whole story - please vote anyway, just to maximise the chances of future freebies that you might like better.

The thread to the main poll is here, and the mystery prize poll (for people ineligible for a free boiler) is here.

Don't forget - VOTE EARLY, VOTE OFTEN!

With the amount of views each thread has recieved there should be hundreds of votes. I'm a little bit embarrassed on behalf of the forum if I'm honest.

Come on people cast a vote it takes a second!

if you dont vote i will issue cropster the autho' of giving each non voter a weeks ban...
and 2 weeks if you dont vote mine.lol

Done my vote on both Poll's and did not feel a thing......lol regards Turnpin:rockon2:

Done.

I'll be honest I switched off anything Intergas related after a few days of week 1.

The threads got too big and not being eligible or intergas inclined I wasn't going to read through them.

Think that might be why there's so little turn out. Any way votes cast

Nope, straight up. I thought rpm2's poem was a blinder.

Thanks mas very kind of you to say so in public, I would like to congratulate youself and jonnyswamp for your craftmanship in your work as writing five line verses is much harder that the four line ditties that come much easier.

I haven`t voted in this poll as I did in the other for a few reasons, entries were entered which shouldn`t have been and efforts to delete them were ignored but mainly because I feel the conditions of the poll were how shall I say "adjusted" and a poll is democratic by degree yet threats of a ban were made if people didn`t vote which being frank stunk.

So win or lose I am taking a holiday, however such is the lure of the forum that I will probably drop in from time to time as a guest.

Best wishes to the winner and I hope the prize is good.

Voted yesterday, is there not someway of have the poll visible when you come onto the site?

I don't even know where to start answering this.

The poll that your poems are on (the mystery prize thread) is supposed to be a bit of light hearted fun, so that people ineligible for the freebie boiler could join in. There never were any conditions to be adjusted, and the idea that Redsaw's threat of a ban was anything other than a bit of light-hearted banter never even crossed my mind. As for ignoring your requests to delete them - the honest truth is that I saw your post, but I don't know how to delete poll options, and anyway, once voting had started, it didnt seem right. Perhaps I should have posted something to that effect, but I have been a tad over-tasked lately. Mea Culpa.

Honestly, chill out mate. 🙂

One further point I should make, not specifically aimed at rpm, but more generally. There is nothing remotely democratic about my freebies and deals. I absolutely reserve the right to set and vary conditions, with or without notice or explanation, but definitely without appeal. The only people who get to influence me are the manufacturers providing the freebies, because they are paying the piper, and therefore get to call the tune.

Disqualify him ray. It's the only fair option. Transfer his votes to my two line ditty. Game on!

If we work together we stand more chance. I'll have the pen Monday-Wednesday you have it Thursday-Sunday?

Honestly, chill out mate. 🙂

This is precisely why I am taking the ukpf holiday and I decided to take it before the poll closed otherwise I was leaving myself open to accusations of sour grapes.

I did type a reply to your PM but the session timed out before I hit send so I will send it again over the weekend. Sorry to hear of your loss Ray.

I've got a better idea, seeing as I've only got the one vote :'(

Vote for me and I might give you a pen...
