Hi we have a very odd problem, our house is Barratt house about 20 years old with standard plumbing a gravity fed hot water system with the cold water tank in the loft, it has two output pipes at the bottom one for the Hot tank via 22mm pipe and the other 22mm pipe to the bath and shower only, all other cold water taps in the house are on mains supply. The shower is a simple mixer from the bath taps no thermostat and the shower head is about 1 meter from the tank bottom. If any cold tap is turned on even briefly to fill a kettle or flush a toilet the shower goes cold as pressure for the shower is supplied from the cold tank this should not be possible, have looked at the tank water level it is normal. The boiler is a standard one not a combi heating the hot tank via a coil as normal. One strange thing we are unable to replicate the problem by running the shower and turning on a cold tap but every day that we have a shower and someone in the house turns on a cold tap the shower goes cold any ideas ? Thanks
