Cold water washbasin tap

Hi

Had a customer ring me today saying when he turned on the cold water tap on the washbasin for the 1st 30 seconds he got a eggy kind of smell but after 30 secs the smell went away he says it is not happening at any other outlets in the property as anybody experienced this before

trap seal probably getting sucked out and notice smell when water pushes foul air out

Just thinking about it again and the customer says it only happens on the cold water if it was the trap it would happen when he ran the hot water tap as well
