Combi boiler - Hot water keeps going cold

We rent a flat with a Vokera combi boiler, sometimes we had to manually turn the central heating on to get hot water out of the taps or shower, more recently the hot water has quickly run cold, then warm, then cold, and so on, even with the central heating switch on. The pressure on the boiler gauge is 2 bar, temperature climbs to 60 C then drops to around 30 C. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Sounds like you need a qualified gas safe registered engineer to look at the problem with your boiler. Where are you based someone here may be able to assist you if your local to them?

Not sure if it helps but I just tried again and watched the boiler more closely, the boiler flame goes out when it reaches about 60C, then drops to 40C and cold water runs, then reignites back up to 60C and you can feel the water get warmer, and then it repeats.

Even though the waters being heated youve still no hot water, we do know what the proiblem is but because its gas related we cannot give advice ,,, if you rent then phone your landlord as it wont cost a penny ,
