Hi all this is my first thread the hot water on worcester junior 28i combi boiler is only firing up for a few seconds intermittently so therefore no hot water, any advice on how to sort the problem would be greatly appreciated, thanks

How olds the boiler, the reason I ask is there's a few w/Bosch junior models and this fault will be caused by different things on different juniors

as a guess mickey mouse install poss a vented before that wasnt flushed and now plate heat exchanger or worse manin heat exchanger sludged..thats a internet diagnosis tough so engineer on site needed

The heating circuit was not getting used at all with the hot weather so I fired it up full for a few minutes and that seems to have flushed both circuits out now the hot water is working again.

Everything seems to be working fine now, thanks for all your help and if there is any problems ill let you know , just out of curiosity if the dhw exchanger was slugged wouldn't it show signs at the taps?

no the water going through the exchanger is from the main
the water heating it has to flow through a very thin fin and as such prone to blocking if not properly flushed and inhibitor added
