Hi guy's! Do any of you use any kind of detection device?

I have been looking to buy one but not sure what to go for?

What kind of depth is good?

I have seen a few that are 38mm. But am sure that is not enough.

Would be greatful for your advice

Regards

Leroy

Hi mutley Racers
I bought a Bosch detector from Plumbfix/screwfix
£60.47 +vat(Plumbfix)
It says it detects steel, steel reinforcement, iron and copper wires(hot and cold)
Also does wood
detection depth upto 100mm
Cat no(49160-78 Plumbfix)
It has a hole in the centre for marking where detected things have been located as you go(audible and visual alarm)

Hmm!

Not so sure about these things, I've got one but find it doesn't signal back on foil backed plaster board. But it works okay.

Thanks
