i went to a customers house and they had a Vaillent Turbomax. The hot water worked fine to the kitchen sink 20ft away but lacked pressure in upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Downstairs bathroom is the other side of the of the wall the boiler is sited on. I know that doesn't necessarily mean that the pipework runs diectly into the bathroom from the boiler.

Also, different house, Pressure rising upto 3bar, water coming out of PRV, only when heating on. Is this a faulty expansion vessal?

1.Ask customer if this has just started.
Check pressure & flow rates at all taps, could be just the taps.
If getting a high flow & pressure from just 1 tap, sounds like you've got a blockage where the others tee off.
2.Expansion vessel lost charge, supply tube to it blocked or both

Thanks for your reply. They haven't added any extra rads. The pressure is 1.5bar when cold and yes it's a combi

The reason i asked is that sometimes extra rads/work can increase the volume inside the system, the expansion vessel will only work upto a certain volume, you would then need to add an extra vessel.

sounds like an expansion vessel issue, check the charge pressure against manufactures instructions and take it from there.

as for the water pressure issue in the first one have you measure the flow rates at the taps?

lets us know how you get on?

Billychuff ... 1st house, check out the actual flow volume of water being supplied at the taps! Bath taps can look real poor in comparison to some sink taps vet the flow is the same!

Thanks Diamond gas, i went there last week and because the guy didn't want to pay me £30 to spend time checking out his system, and also guarantee that i could fix it (no guarantee's in life other than death and taxes) then my boss advised me to leave so won't be going back.
I was curious to know other peoples opinions on the problem
