Can anyone in here cap off commercial gas meter on the supply side or is it a job for transco? I'm on a site in London and the client wants it taken out and capped off after the supply isolator. The pipe size is 2" - 3".

I'd wouldn't personally do it, but I'm not sure if we would be allowed to or not 🙂 I donut it though.

Id id wait for croppie, he's commercial, but he likes to keep it quiet 🙂

I thought that might be the case, Transco want £1400 to remove it though! Oh well, at least it isnt my meter.

Damage meter report smell, tranny will just make d
Safe ( if you snap test nipple, they hopefully won't have a spare meter in van and will cap at ecv. Meter might get stolen?

Unless it's a rotary meter in which case it's easier to keep deliberately tripping the slamshut and calling them out. After all, you're not allowed to reset it yourself.
