I've been asked to commission an oil boiler that some ones installed, from what I can gather it was fitted then the installer got paid and vanished so it's not been commissioned.

What would you charge for something like this?

Thanks gez.

I charge £80, maybe a bit more depending how far I have to go. £50 to commission and £30 to notify is how I put it down. Also state that I have no responsibility for putting anything right. If there are deficencies I note on CD11 and give them an estimate to put right. Last one was great. Oil tank single skin and needed a bunded tank, plastic oil line, even above ground, flue 6" below an opening window, fantastic oil line with pulled bends plenty of clips and then all joined together with 10mm yorks straights. No fire valve, no filter on oil line and the list went on, funny that the bloke hasn't asked me again.
